SANDY BEACHES
Sunbathe, swim, beach comb or jog on Jekyll Island's 10 miles of beaches. Bathhouses and the beach dock are located mid-island which provide public showers and restrooms.
ART GALLERY/EXHIBITS
Goodyear Cottage houses the Jekyll Island Art Association, a gift shop and a free monthly art exhibit.
BIRD WATCHING
The island is one of eighteen sites along the Colonial Coast Birding Trail and features several significant birding sites.
FISHING
Ample opportunities for the angler, from surf fishing on the beach to relaxed outings on two freshwater lakes. Go crabbing and fishing from the pier at Clam Creek Picnic Area or try St. Andrews picnic area to surf fish and seine for shrimp. A Georgia fishing license is required for all fishing activities including crabbing and seining.
GEORGIA SEA TURTLE CENTER
Visitors can explore exhibits on sea turtle conservation, veterinary care and their amazing journey from egg to adulthood.
GOLF COURSE
Georgia's largest public golf course with three 18-hole courses and a 9-hole course. Club rentals, lessons, and schools are available.
HISTORIC DISTRICT
History comes alive in exploring the District's grounds and historic structures. Adding to the experience are guided tours, exhibits, shops, restaurants, and Jekyll Island's stunning natural beauty. Daily guided tram tours begin at the Museum on Stable Rd.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Trail rides are offered Monday-Saturday, weather permitting and depart at Clam Creek Picnic area. Call 912-635-9500.
JOGGING & BIKE TRAILS
Jekyll offers over 20 miles of paved trails offering glimpses of the Island that you will never see from the confines of your car. Bikes may be rented at the hotel, at several bike rental locations or you may bring your own.
KAYAKS & CANOES
Tidelands Nature Center offers a 3-hour guided tour of Jekyll Creek or rent a canoe for a relaxing day on Rixen Pond.
MARINAS, SIGHTSEEING/FISHING CHARTERS
Boaters Paradise offers easy access to some of the most picturesque waters on the East Coast.

SHOPPING
A variety of shops are offered on Jekyll Island. Specialty shops, gift shops, boutiques, groceries, hardware, pharmacy, swim wear, beach gear, fishing gear as well as a bank and post office.
SUMMER WAVES WATER PARK
Seasonal-More than a million gallons of splashing water fun, with 11 acres of rides, thrills, food, excitement, and cool summer times.

13 clay courts. Staff will gladly arrange a game for you. Lessons available.

RED BUG MOTOR RENTALS
The early model Red Bug cars were part of Jekyll Island’s history. The earlier models were produced from 1914 to about 1930. The “Red Bugs” are back on Jekyll Island again and they are better than ever.
